Bodegas Los Astrales was launched at the end of 2000 at the initiative of the Romera de la Cruz family , third-generation winegrowers in Anguix. Starting from a solid wine base inherited from their parents and with an unequivocal philosophy of quality, they decide to go from being grape suppliers to the most prestigious wineries in the Ribera del Duero to being wine makers.

Eduardo García joined the Company in 2001 as Technical Director, giving a boost to the project with the elaboration of the first Astrales 2001 vintage. Eduardo García, once he finished his formative stage in France and the United States, reconciles his work as head of viticulture of the family wineries (Mauro, San Román Bodegas y Viñedos, Leda) with the Technical Management of "Bodegas Los Astrales" until 2013.

The last milestone is the incorporation of José Hidalgo Togores as Technical Director in 2013 . José Hidalgo, in addition to being one of the most recognized oenologists in Spain, is the author of the "Treatise on Viticulture and Oenology", the text used in most of the Oenology Schools in Spain and Latin America.
