Tasting notes:

Fragrant aromas of white peaches, ripe grapefruit, and citrus blossom are complemented by hints of roasted nuts, flint, sweet spices, and marzipan. The wine is rich and concentrated in the mouth yet remains focused and composed with outstanding persistence and length of flavour. Pure stone fruit/citrus flavours, cedary/toasty oak, gently drying phenolics and a fine thread of acidity combine effortlessly on the palate leading to a savoury, mouthwatering finish. A superb Chardonnay of exquisite balance, poise and tension that will captivate you until the very last drop.  Drink 2022 to 2032.

97 points, Sam Kim - Wine Orbit

A magnificent rendition of the variety offering graceful power as well as seductive complexity. The concentrated palate displays outstanding weight and persistency, combined with beautifully layered mouthfeel and bright acidity, finishing remarkably long and immensely satisfying.

Smoky, toasty and complex bouquet with scents of French oak and barrel spices, a touch of burnt butter and Brazil nut, roasted yellow orchard fruits and baked citrus. A satin cream texture touches the palate first, but is quickly contrasted by tannins and a youthful acid line. The core of fruit layers in variety and finesse coasting the palate leaving a lost lasting impression.

5 Star, Michael Cooper

The classy, multi-faceted 2020 vintage has a powerful presence. Hand-picked from vines planted in 2008 in deep, silty soils overlying gravels in the Tin Shed Vineyard, it was fermented and matured on its yeast lees for a year in all-new French oak puncheons. Full-bodied, it is notably concentrated, with deep, ripe stonefruit flavours, fresh acidity, and a very harmonious, finely structured finish
